NEW for May 2012

We are pleased to be associated with the Herald Express and their LoveLIFE campaign
and are offering TWO FREE TRIAL EVENINGS - new members can come along and try
any two days (4 lessons) completely free of charge, don't book, just turn up!

Classes Wednesdays & Sundays in Babbacombe / Fridays in Torre.

Want to learn how to defend yourself? Want to have the discipline, fitness and confidence that martial arts gives whilst making new friends?
We are purely interested in self defence so no fights, matches or competitions. We study a reality based Self Defence system
along with Aikido as a pure Art form; the majority of our students study both arts as they complement each other so well.
No experience necessary - just come in casual clothes & train!!!! We have new members joining us all the time.

Our instructor lives locally & has over 15 years experience in martial arts, holding his 4th Dan in Aikido,
4th Dan in Atemi Jutsu, 3rd Dan Buki Kogeki Yodo Jutsu & 1st Dan in Shotokan Karate.

AMA - Amateur Martial Association

The I.B.F. is affiliated to the
Amateur Martial Association which provides both the club and our members with their insurance. The AMA has been in existence for nearly forty years and is recognised by the world's leading Associations and governing bodies (it is now the largest martial arts association in the UK with over 95,000 members). Sensei Jason has been a member for most of his martial arts career. The AMA also provides coaching courses for our students as well as recording their grades - thus providing independent evidence of our club members' qualifications.

Thinking of trying it? - please read

We do appreciate that it is terrifying for someone to walk into a new club. Everyone seems to know everybody else and know what they are doing, then you walk into the middle of it. Trust me what you are feeling is perfectly normal and each member of our club has been in exactly the same position; several members have said that it took months before they took the plunge (one even admitted that he actually turned up 6 times before he managed to come inside).

Please be assured that you will be made very welcome, nobody has ever regretted joining us.
My only warning to you is that training in

the martial arts is very, very addictive; be prepared for a lifelong journey. Hopefully we will meet soon, Sensei Jay.
